We’re a married couple with a dog and a Nissan Patrol travelling around Australia… at least in between holding down jobs back home! We share a passion for exploring all the amazing “off the beaten track” locations this great country has to offer.
James is a carpenter by trade and works in construction contract administration. He has owned a number of 4WD vehicles over the years. His current vehicle is a 2004 Nissan Patrol TD42 wagon. Handy with the mechanical DIY work he’s added most of the accessories himself to turn it into the capable tourer and off-road vehicle it needs to be.
Trinity is the creative mind behind the blog, photos, and our social media pages. Having previously worked as a veterinarian, she’s pursued a career change that now sees her working in research support in an academic library. Trinity is also the proud owner of her own Patrol – a 2006 TD42 coil cab ute. She’s looking forward to building it up to be a capable back-up tourer and off-road rig.
Yes, that’s really his name! Mister Dog is a 6-year-old Staffy Mastiff cross fur-child. Unfortunately he misses out on any trips heading through National Parks – though he may believe he’s a real child unfortunately the rangers will disagree. That said, he joins us on all our weekend escapes and any other dog-friendly trips we do, and has seen more of Australia than many dogs can boast!
